History
o The Benefit Show is in memory of a former Indy Cheer and Dance student and Avon Cheerleader that was killed by a drunk driver in August of 1999. She just graduated from High School and was getting ready to go to college and become a school teacher.
o All door proceeds go towards a Scholarship for an Avon Senior Student chosen by Sherry Smith. (Shelby’s mother)
Sunday
o Christy needs help with the cheer mats and the dance floor on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Meet at Indy Cheer. We have a box trailer to load everything in. The mats and dance floor will be at the school around noon if anyone can help unload into the gym.
o
The show starts at 2:00 p.m. Avon High School located at 7575 E
County Road 150 S
Avon, IN 46123. Enter door 23 on the Southwest side.
o The show will be approximately 2-3 hours.
o $5.00 for all spectators. Age 3 and under free.
Student Information
o Dance Students need to be dressed and ready at the school @ 12:30 p.m.
o Cheer Students need to be dressed and ready at the school @ 1:30 p.m.
o Full uniform, no stage make- up or face stars.
o There will be a check in table for all participants.
o Students will have a teacher in charge of their group/number.
o Indy Cheer students and staff will also receive a shirt during check in.
o The practice area is located upstairs in the gym behind the student bleachers.
o The show is in the gym this year and the students will sit with their group and put their stuff in the bleachers on the west end of the building.
o A locker room is available for changing purposes. (girls only)
Other
o Programs will be passed out the day of the show.
o Concessions will be available in the common area.
o A continuous video of Shelby will be playing in the common area.
